Lexington Police Report

August 17, 2013

Cpl. Nurse was contacted by a male subject who stated that his son hadn’t come home last night. Cpl. Nurse, along with the subject, located the juvenile at a residence in the 200 Blk of Rockdale St. The child was returned to his parent.

August 19, 2013

Cpl. Nurse was dispatched to Peterson’s Grocery Store on a burglary alarm call. Upon arrival, Cpl. Nurse checked all exterior windows and doors. All windows and doors were secure. It was determined the alarm was a false alarm. Cpl. Nurse cleared the area without further incident and resumed his patrol duties.

Cpl. Nurse was dispatched to CR 405 on a loose livestock call. Upon arrival Cpl. Nurse made contact with the livestock and was able to herd the livestock back into the pasture from where it came. Cpl. Nurse then cleared the area and resumed his patrol duties.

Cpt. Wooldridge was dispatched to the Lexington Food Mart on a gas drive-off report. Upon arrival, contact was made with the clerk who advised a customer left the premises without paying for gas. After a description was given, Cpt. Wooldridge made contact with the subject involved. The subject believed they paid for the gas at the pump, but willingly returned to the store with Cpt. Wooldridge to resolve the issue. The issue was resolved and the subject paid what was owed.

August 21, 2013

Cpt. Wooldridge was dispatched to the 400 Blk of Ave- C on a theft call. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised an unknown person stole their property. There were no leads developed at this time regarding the theft. This case is currently under investigation.

August 22, 2013

Chief Yarbrough and Cpt. Wooldridge responded to a burglary alarm call in the 9000 Blk SHWY 77 N. Upon arrival, contact was made with the person at the residence. The owner of the residence was contacted and it was determined the individual at the residence was allowed access, but was not clear on the code and alarm process. Chief Yarbrough and Cpt. Wooldridge cleared the area without incident.

August 23, 2013

Officer Stark assisted EMS with an elderly subject in the 100 Blk of 5th St. Officer Stark then cleared the scene when EMS had concluded their evaluations. Officer Stark resumed his patrol duties.

August 25, 2013

Officer Stark conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 8000 Blk of SHWY 77 N. Contact was made with the driver who was identified as Ruth Flores. After a preliminary field interview and checking Ruth, it was discovered she was operating a motor vehicle with an invalid license. At that time Ruth was placed under arrest and issued a citation for expired registration. Ruth was transported to the Lee County Jail where she was booked-in for driving While License Invalid, a class A misdemeanor.
