Joseph Lucio Ruiz
Joseph had been employed with Crossroads Oilfield Supply in Giddings and was currently working as a welder with Maverick Field Services. He was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings and enjoyed high school football, hunting, fishing, dancing and loved to party with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Maribel Lucio of Giddings; his father, Albert Ruiz of San Antonio; his brothers and sisters, Danny Lucio, Cynthia Lucio, Ashley Lopez, Isabell Lopez, Kaley Lucio, Ruby Lucio & her husband, Michael Roberts and Joey Lucio all of Giddings; nephew and nieces, Jacob Palomo, Jadynn Roberts and Ryleigh Roberts all of Giddings; his grandparents, Silvano & Maria Lucio of Giddings and Albert & Estela Ruiz of San Antonio; uncles and aunts, Tony Lucio & Lizzy Placke of Giddings, Jose & Marie Lucio of Giddings, Silvano & Rosie Lucio of La Grange, Jorge Lucio of Giddings, Alex & Carmen Lara of Columbus, Joaquin Lucio of Ledbetter, Juan Lucio of Ledbetter, Theo Ruiz of San Antonio, Xavier Ruiz of San Antonio, Laura Lucio of Ledbetter, Stephanie Ruiz of San Antonio and Alma Ruiz of San Antonio, as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Joseph Ruiz, 21, of Giddings are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Giddings with Father James Olnhausen officiating.
Burial will immediately follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings
Serving as pallbearers will be Erik Rimes, Caleb Paul, Adriel Guyton, Joey Lucio, Mike Roberts, Luigi Zapata, Jesse Perez and Thomas Irwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Ruiz, Theo Ruiz, Edward Palomo and Danny Lucio.
Joseph passed away unexpectedly the morning of Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Giddings.
