Ewald Paul Mueller
Ewald Paul Mueller was born on December 29, 1919 in the Bell Settlement Community near Ledbetter, Texas to Charles & Martha (Schubert) Mueller. He was a retired farmer and rancher who enjoyed singing, playing dominoes, fishing and taking care of his cattle. Ewald was a member of the Waldeck Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and served on many committees and had been a member of the church council.
Ewald passed away the night of Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Leonie Zingelmann, Edna Boettcher and Lorene Fischer; three brothers, Alvin Mueller, Elo Mueller and Edgar Mueller and a nephew, Winston Boettcher.
Ewald is survived by his sisterin law, Myrtle Mueller of Giddings; five nieces, Verna Mae Becker & her husband, Monroe of Giddings, Dorris Chovanec & her husband, Clarence of La Grange, Mildred Frenzel & her husband, Leslie of La Grange, Nina Knipe of Round Top and Junell Heinemann & her husband, Wesley of Pasadena, and two nephews, Wilbert Mueller & his wife, Mary of La Grange and Maurice Boettcher of La Grange.
Funeral services for Ewald Mueller, 93, of Ledbetter, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Waldeck Lutheran Church in Waldeck with Rev. Willie Rotter officiating. Burial will follow in the Waldeck Cemetery. Visitation will be held August 27, and on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and family will be present from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
