Welcome Home, Sgt. Stephens!

If you’ve been down North Rockdale Street in Lexington recently, you’ve probably noticed a Welcome Home sign hanging from the porch at Marilyn Washington Alexander’s house. That’s because her son-in-law, Sgt. Lamar Stephens, Jr., has recently returned from a 9-month tour in Kuwait, his second such detachment in his seven years service to the US Army. (His first deployment was to Iraq and Afghanistan.) Sgt. Stephens is seen with his beautiful family, including his children (left to right) Diavhyon, Jayden, Syre, Destiny; his wife, Kimberly; and his mother-in-law, Marilyn. He is currently stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, but will soon be transferred to Ft. Hood in Killeen. Welcome Home, Sgt. Stephens!
