Three Sentenced

Three people were sentenced in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County. Jeremy Cole, 18 of Giddings State School, was sentenced on August 1, 2013, with the Honorable Judge Reva Towslee Corbett presiding. Cole received two years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for indecency with a child – exposure. He was ordered to pay $594 in court costs and to register as a sex offender.

Christpher Powell and Danielle Lara were sentenced on August 8, with the Honorable Judge Carson Cambell presiding. Powell, 24 of Giddings, was given ten years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for failing to register as a sex offender. He was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, $400 for his court appointed attorney, and $288 in court costs.

Lara, 27 of Giddings, was given nine months confinement in the TDCJ for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was ordered to pay $278 in court costs.
