Jeremy Lee Gilmore

April 19, 1989 - July 18, 2013

Jeremy Lee Gilmore was born on April 19, 1989 in Galveston, Texas to Gary & Susan (Geisler) Gilmore. He was baptized on May 28, 1989 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings by Rev. Wilbern Michalk and confirmed on April 27, 2003 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. John Davis. His confirmation verse was 2 Timothy 3:14 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it”. Jeremy graduated from Giddings High School in 2007. He was employed by a professional dog trainer and had a deep compassion for the dogs he trained and the work that he did. He loved the companionship of his loyal dog, Rocky, who was always by his side. Jeremy always had a smile for everyone he met and would offer help to anyone. He dearly missed his sister, Megan, and now joins her in their heavenly home.

He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in South Dakota doing what he loved to do.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Megan Gilmore on January 27, 2012.

Survivors include his parents, Susan Gilmore of Giddings, and Gary and Carol Gilmore of Louisiana; grandparents, Elroy and Jane Geisler of Giddings and Ernie and Marilyn Gilmore of Iola; brother, Erik Gilmore and niece, Rylee Gilmore both of Giddings; aunts and uncles, Dennis and Sharon Blasig of Giddings, Sandra Geisler and Margie Trojanowsky of Brazoria, Ernest II and Tiffany Gilmore of Bryan, Donnie and Carilyn Muzny of Caldwell, and Brad and Sabrina Day of Ruston, LA, as well as numerous cousins, other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Keith Aschenbeck & Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Bradey Blasig, Mason Blasig, Justin Kessler, Aaron Maass, Bradon Daricek, Brad Day, Micah Muzny and Christopher Gilmore.
