Lexington Police Report

July 7, 2013

Officer Vivas was dispatched to FM 112 for loose livestock on the roadway. No Deputy was available to take the call at that time. Officer Vivas secured the livestock and cleared the area and resumed his patrol duties in the City of Lexington.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to an alarm call in the 8800 Blk of SHWY 77 N. Upon arrival, Officer Sandoval canvassed the area and discovered there was no suspicious entry or activity.

July 8, 2013

Officer Vivas arrived in the area of the 500 Blk ofAve. B on an animal complaint. Contact was made with the owner of the animal and warnings were issued concerning the animal.

July 10, 2013

Cpt. Wooldridge was dispatched to the 800 Blk of Rockdale St on a disturbance call. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who advised she had been assaulted by her boyfriend who had left the scene prior to his arrival. After a field investigation, Cpt. Wooldridge was able to obtain sufficient evidence of an assault taking place. Cpt. Wooldridge completed a Probable Cause Affidavit of a Warrant for the male subject who was identified as Anthony Hudgen. After obtaining the warrant, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified and executed the arrest warrant, placing Hudgen in Jail for Assault with Injury. Criminal Trespass Warnings were issued to Anthony Hudgen and Shirley Hudgen.

Officer Sandoval, while on patrol in the 9000 Blk of SHWY 77 N, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Upon contact with the driver who was identified as Holly Lynn Cowgill, Officer Sandoval detected an odor consistent with marijuana. Officer Sandoval instructed all occupants to exit the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was conducted with the assistance of Deputy Jirasek. Marijuana drug paraphernalia was recovered inside the vehicle in the area where Jerry Don Cowgill was located. Jerry was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and placee in the back of the patrol unit and Holly was released at the scene and issued two citations: (1) Speeding (2) Unrestrained Child. Jerry was transported to the Lee County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of Marijuana.

July 12, 2013

Cpl. Nurse, while conducting security checks, discovered an unsecure vehicle at Boettcher Construction. Cpl. Nurse secured the vehicle and documented the incident. Cpl. Nurse cleared the area and resumed his patrol duties.

Cpl. Nurse was dispatched to a reckless driver in the area of 3rd and Yegua St. Cpl. Nurse arrived in the area and canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle, but was unable to locate the vehicle. Cpl. Nurse cleared the area and resumed patrol duties.

July 13, 2013

Officer Vivas was dispatched to the 500 Blk of 1st St in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who advised they were unaware who the vehicle belonged to. The owner of the vehicle arrived and removed the vehicle without incident. Officer Vivas cleared the area and resumed his patrol duties.

Officer Vivas was dispatched on a welfare check of a truck driver on SHWY 77 The driver was contacted and the welfare check was conducted, determining there was no need for concern of the truck driver. Officer Vivas cleared the area and resumed his duties on patrol.

Officer Vivas was dispatched to the Lexington Square on two suspicious persons. Upon arrival, contact was made and there was no indication of suspicious activity. Officer Vivas cleared the area without incident and resumed his patrol duties.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to the 800 Blk of Caldwell St. where he took a theft complaint. All necessary information was gathered for investigative purposes and a report was taken. Officer Sandoval cleared the area and resumed his patrol duties.
