Fourth of July Celebration in Lexington

The Fireworks in the Park Fourth of July Celebration sponsered by the Lexington Economic Development Corp, and co-hosted by the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and Lexington Chamber of Commerce, was bigger and better than ever! Several vendors set up in the park, selling their wares and offering face painting and jump houses for the kids. Bill Tucker, owner of Billy T’s Music, played patriotic music the whole evening, and then, at about 9 o’clock that evening, the volunteer firefighters orchestrated a beautiful fireworks display that wowed everyone in attendance. The park was full of neighbors and friends, and, once again, Lexington provided a wonderful venue for the celebration of our nation’s birthday. Pictured above are Kadean and Spencer Rhodes enjoying some ice cold watermelon.
