The Show Will Go On

Despite the recent emergency burn ban enacted by the County, Lexington’s planned fireworks display will still go on, under the watchful care of the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department. The Lexington Chamber of Commerce, along with the Lexington EDC and the Lexington VFD will host this year’s event, which will include a wonderful fireworks display at dusk, which will be set up at the Rodeo Arena, and lots of entertainment before.

“We’re including a bounce house for the kids and several vendors this year,” said Samantha Retzlaff with the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.

“The bounce house and vendors will begin setting up around 5 p.m. and Bill Tucker, with Billy T’s Music, will provide music throughout the evening. It will be a great opportunity for families to pack a picnic meal, bring their lawn chairs and dominoes or card games, and sit at the park, while we all celebrate our nation’s birthday,” she continued.
