In my latest conversation with Coach Muhl, he had not officially hired any assistant coaches. He has a myriad of interviews this week, trying to fill the four slots. I wish him the best luck in finding the proper applicants to fill the job openings.
It looks as though I could have been wrong about the Miami Heat winning the NBA title in six games. The “old” Spurs are still a very good team. The Spurs are ahead 3 games to 2, as the series moves back to Miami. The Heat must win both games; the Spurs only 1 of 2.
According to what I read, Texas Football will hit the newsstands Thursday at 9:30 a.m. There will be a run on the magazine because Texas is a football crazy state!!!!!!!
The Astros are actually winning a few games with their low payroll. The Rangers are in the midst of a slump at the plate and on the mound. I hope they get it straightened out soon.
The funny thing is, the next worse team to the Astros, is the Angels, with $375 million tied up in Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton. They also have some high priced pitching that is not doing any more than the offense. If they keep going with their crazy spending, they will file bankruptcy just to avoid all the high dollar contracts.
Not sports, but funny….. Hood County jurors complained to county commissioners that the hard jury chairs were causing pain to the rear and even hemorrhoids. The Hood County commissioners listened to their jurors and ordered over $20,000 of new jury chairs and a new wider witness chair. The reason the witness chair is wider is often a policeman will need to sit there with his gun and police belt. This was front page news in the Hood County News of June 15.
