June 03, 2013

A caller reported that her husband was intoxicated and threatened to burn the house down with her in it. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Ledenbach responded to the call. One subject was arrested and booked into jail.

Deputy Jirasek responded to a residential burglar alarm. The house was found secure with all doors and windows secure.

Deputy Ray, Deputy Jirasek and Deputy Grover responded to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 290 West near the Bastrop County line.

June 04, 2013

A motorist reported that a dead deer was in the lane of traffic on Hwy 77 South. Vehicles were swerving to avoid hitting it. Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover located and removed the carcass from the road.

Deputy Ayres assisted Lexington Police at a disturbance call on Rockdale St. The complainant reported that her husband had assaulted her.

June 05, 2013

A concerned citizen reported that several dogs were in cages and had no shelter from the heat. The house is located on CR 216. Deputy Liles was dispatched and located the residence. He reported that the dogs had food, water and tarps over the cages to block the sun.

Deputy Crockett and Deputy Burns spoke to a complainant on Mesquite Trail. He reported that someone stole his Dodge truck from his driveway. A report was made and the vehicle was entered as stolen in the TCIC/NCIC computer.

A resident on CR 214 called and reported that his son told him that someone was knocking on his windows and doors. Deputy Ledenbach and Deputy Carvin checked the house and property, but did not locate anyone.

Deputy Rudolph met with a complainant on CR A in Lexington. He reported some suspicious activity and requested a report. A close patrol of the area was put in effect.

The Sheriff’s Office received an alarm call from a business in Lexington. Deputy Rudolph checked it out and advised everything was ok; it was a false alarm.

A concerned citizen reported that a vehicle appeared to be disabled on FM 1624 @ CR 309. Deputy Ledenbach located the vehicle and the driver advised that he had a flat. Help was on the way.

June 07, 2013

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a business on Hwy 290 W. The building was checked by Deputy Ledenbach and found to be secure. The owner advised that if it is still parked there in the morning she would have it towed off her property.

Deputy Carvin and Deputy Ledenbach went to a residence on CR 433 to give them a death notification for the Giddings Police Dept.

A motorist reported that an 18- wheeler was stuck and blocking traffic on FM 180. Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover advised the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

Several motorists reported goats were out on Hwy 290 West. Deputy Jirasek located the goats and ran them off the road. Deputy Grover and Deputy Ray were dispatched to a residential burglar alarm on CR 117. Everything was found locked and secure.

A female called and reported that she saw a small child, approx 2-3 years old, that was walking on the side of FM 3403. Deputy Ayres and Deputy Jirasek made contact with the child’s guardians and CPS was notified of the situation.

A caller reported that she received a call from her daughter stating that she could hear people talking. She was afraid it was a prowler. Deputy Ayres located the source at the Blue Fire Station. Everything was ok.

June 08, 2013

A complainant reported that she let her ex-boyfriend borrow her Xbox, and he refused to return it. The caller stated that she was making the payments on it and it belongs to her. Deputy Ray spoke to both parties involved and advised them that the issue was a civil matter.

Deputy Jirasek spoke to a complainant regarding some suspicious activity. A report was made and investigation continues at this time.

June 09, 2013

A motorist reported that a black Honda was weaving in and out of traffic and swerving into oncoming traffic. The caller reported that the driver threw a bottle out of the vehicle on Hwy 21 West. Deputy Ray, Deputy Grover and Deputy Jirasek, along with CPL Weiser, searched for the vehicle and located it. The driver was arrested and booked into jail.

The Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous call reporting illegal activity on CR 125. Deputy Grover and Deputy Ray patrolled the area and will be checking daily.

Deputy Ayres was dispatched to CR 405 in reference to an assault. The caller reported that her soon to be ex-husband pushed her down in front of her children. A report was taken and charges were filed.
