Lexington Police Report

Officer Vivas was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1200 Blk of Rockdale St. Upon arrival, Officer Vivas spoke with a husband and wife who stated they had gotten into an argument. After an investigation, it was determined the disturbance was not physical. The subjects resolved the argument and Officer Vivas cleared the scene without incident.

Officer Sandoval conducted traffic control for a wrecker service in the 8900 blk of N. HWY 77. The wrecker service was attempting to remove a boat and trailer from the roadway due to the boat trailer losing its wheel.

Officer Sandoval stopped a vehicle for traveling at a high rate of speed, which was called in by a Lee County Deputy who was enroute to a call. Officer Sandoval located the vehicle and made a stop on the vehicle in the 700 Blk of 7th St. After an investigation was conducted, the juvenile driver was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence and Violation of his Driver’s License Restriction. The juvenile passenger was issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Both parents of the juveniles were contacted and arrived at the scene to take custody of their children. Officer Sandoval cleared the scene without incident.

Chief Yarbrough responded to the 900 Blk of 3rd St in reference to a phone harassment complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who advised their ex-roommate was calling and threatening her after their children had a dispute. Contact was made with the ex-roommate and advised to no longer contact the complainant or criminal charges can and will be filed against her for telephone harassment. The exroommate advised the phone calls and text messages would cease. Chief Yarbrough cleared the scene without further incident.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to the 300 Blk of Ave G in reference to a reckless driver. Officer Sandoval located the suspected reckless driver and informed him of the complaint. The subject stated he would slow down and be more careful while driving through the neighborhood. Officer Sandoval then released the subject.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to the Lexington Food Mart in reference to an alarm call. Upon arrival, Officer Sandoval checked all exterior windows and doors, finding the store to be secure. Officer Sandoval advised dispatch of his findings and cleared the scene without incident.

Chief Yarbrough and Cpl. Nurse were dispatched to the 900 Blk of Rockdale St. in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Nurse gathered all necessary information from the complainant. Officer Nurse also took fingerprints, and photos were taken for followup investigation.

Officer Sandoval stopped a vehicle in the 100 Blk of Gary St. Contact was made with the driver who was identified as Pamela Burgess. After an investigation, it was found that Burgess’s Driver’s License was suspended with a previous conviction. Burgess was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended Misdemeanor “A” and transported to the Lee County Jail for booking, and released to Lee County Jail Staff. Officer Sandoval cleared the Lee County Jail and resumed his duties on patrol.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to the Lexington Food Mart in reference to an alarm call. Upon arrival, Officer Sandoval checked all exterior windows and doors, finding the store to be secure. Officer Sandoval then cleared the scene.

Cpl. Nurse was dispatched to the CEFCO Store in reference to a gas drive off. Upon arrival, the suspect vehicle had left the scene. Officer Nurse gathered all pertinent information to complete a report for the investigation to continue.

June 07, 2013

Cpl. Nurse and Officer Hefner were dispatched to the 700 Blk of Dickson St. in reference to the theft of a seesaw. After a field investigation was conducted, the seesaw was located on a nearby property and returned to the owners. No criminal charges were filed by the owner. Cpl. Nurse and Officer Hefner cleared the scene and resumed their patrol duties.

Officer Sandoval was dispatched to the 700 Blk of 6th St in reference to a prior assault. Upon arrival, Officer Sandoval made contact with the complainant who stated a subject known to her had touched her in an inappropriate manner without her consent. The complainant indicated she did wish to file criminal charges against him and that a Criminal Trespass Warning is issued prohibiting the subject from returning to her property. The suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and the assault complaint is under investigation.

Cpt. Wooldridge was called to the 700 blk of Ave A in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Cpt. Wooldridge made contact with a subject who was asked to leave the residence so the argument would not become physical. The subject gathered his clothes and left the residence. Cpt. Wooldridge then cleared the scene.

Cpt. Wooldridge met with a walkin complainant who stated that a known subject had come by his residence in the 300 Blk of Ave G in an attempt to start a fight. Cpt. Wooldridge located the subject and spoke with him about the incident. Cpt Wooldridge then drove to the 700 Blk of Ave A, and spoke with the juvenile’s mother about the incident. The subject was advised to stay away from the other subject to prevent any further incidents from occurring.
