Lee County to Host Health Fair
The Lee County Health Fair will be Thursday, June 20, in the Giddings High School Cafeteria, between 9 am and 12 noon. Admission is free. The Health Fair is open to all citizens in and around Lee County.
The Lee County Health Fair is hosted by the Lee County office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Country Care Plex.
Visitors can be screened for cholesterol and blood glucose; these tests require morning fasting. Other screenings and tests available include: blood pressure, body mass index, grip strength testing, measure body fat and pulse oximetry.
A variety of information will be available regarding family health care, hearing and dental care, poison control, family counseling, home health and hospice service, and much more. Visitors will also enjoy many give-aways from the exhibitors.
Individuals with disabilities who plan to attend and who may need auxiliary aids, services or accommodations must contact the Lee County Extension office five days prior to the event so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
