Giddings Rotary Announces Scholarship Recipients

PHOTO BY WESLEY KENG. The Rotary Club of Giddings is proud to award nine scholarships this year to Lee County Seniors. These students were awarded the Rotary scholarships because we not only expect them to do great things, we expect them to do great things for others and put “Service above Self.”

Through its fundraising efforts, the club has been able to give over $150,000 to Lee County students over the past twenty years.

The recipients of the 2012-2013 Rotary Club of Giddings Scholarships are (from Giddings) Caleb Chapman, Alaina Dock, Nonnah Morgan Fain, Kristina Kanevsky, Ryan Yantz, Abigail Perez and Ashley Steinbach.


Alex Martinez was one Lee County graduate who received a substantial scholarship from the Lee County Go Texan delgation of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Gregory Willrich, Jr., a Lexington High School graduate, was also a recipient, as was Emily Hirt from Dime Box.



Ryan Yantz was also a Lee County graduate who received a substantial scholarship from the Lee County Go Texan delegation of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Ryan Yantz was also a Lee County graduate who received a substantial scholarship from the Lee County Go Texan delegation of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
