Giddings Library News Corner

The Giddings Public Library has a wonderful selection of new large print books. Ransom River by Meg Gardiner is about a high profile murder case. Rory Mackenzie is juror number seven in a case in her hometown of Ransom River, California. Most of the town is focused on the tense and shocking circumstances of the trial, but Rory’s return dredges up troubling memories that she can no longer ignore.

Murder on the Half Shell by Lorna Barrett takes place in Stoneham, New Hampshire. Tricia Miles experiences a nightmare when she makes two startling discoveries. A woman named Pippa is found murdered in the back yard and a man named Jon who is actually Harry Tyler, a man Tricia loved and believed dead for nearly two years.

When Hope Blossoms by Kim Vogel Sawyer is about Amy Knockstedt. She hopes a new start in Weaverly, Kansas will help heal the pain of losing her husband and provide a better future for her three children. Amy has an encounter with a man named Tim Roper, but they form a friendship that surprises them both.

Courageous by Diana Palmer is about the life of a paid mercenary, Special Forces Officer Winslow Grange. Back in Texas, Grange’s biggest problem was avoiding Peg Larson and all the complications being attracted to the daughter of his foreman.
