Sheriff’s Report

May 20, 2013

Union Pacific Railroad called and reported cows were out on FM 448. Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover searched along the tracks, but did not locate any cattle.

Deputy Jirasek met with a complainant on CR 101. The complainant reported that he had items missing from his property. A report was taken and an investigation is still ongoing at this time.

A resident on CR 329 in Lexington reported that someone stole their mailbox and post. Deputy Jirasek made a report.

A caller reported that a red cow was out on FM 1624. He contacted all his surrounding neighbors, but it did not belong to any of them. Deputy Ayres attemped to find the owner.

May 21, 2013

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man on FM 1624 in Lexington who advised he was not feeling well and may have had a seizure. Deputy Ayres responded with EMS.

Deputy Ayres, Deputy Jirasek and Deputy Burns responded to an EMS call on FM 1624 where it was reported that a man was not breathing. Subject was airlifted to a hospital.

A caller who lives on CR 411 in Lexington reported that his neighbor threatened him with a gun. The caller also advised that the same neighbor locked the gate so he couldn’t get in or out of the property. Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres spoke to all parties involved and made a report.

May 22, 2013

A resident on CR 106 in Lincoln reported a suspicious white van driving around in the area. Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Grover searched the area.

Chief Deputy Lapham went to Dime Box to recover some stolen property. A report was made.

Deputy Ayres spoke to a complainant about a trespasser on his place on FM 3403 @ CR 449. A close patrol of the area was put into effect.

A complainant advised that her husband had left with their children and was not answering his phone. She was outside a residence where she believed her children wer located. Deputy Allen got permission to look inside the residence and the children were not there. Subject was advised to seek an attorney, as this would be a civil matter.

May 23, 2013

A motorist reported that a tree was laying across the road on CR 207 between CR 205 and CR 208. Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres removed the tree from the roadway.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a van that was broken down in the lane of traffic on Hwy 290 West near CR 200. Deputy Ledenbach located the van and the driver was arrested and charged with DWI, and the vehicle was towed.

A complainant entered the lobby and requested to speak to a deputy regarding his ex-girlfriend constantly calling and texting him. Deputy Burns took a statement and wrote a report.

Deputy Carvin and Deputy Ledenbach responded to a possible disturbance call on FM 141. The caller reported that his brother called and told him to get to his house as soon as possible. Actually, they were just upset because there was a snake in their yard.

May 24, 2013

A complainant reported that her daughter is receiving text messages from someone she does not want to talk to. Deputy Ledenbach spoke to the complainant and a report was made.

Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover spoke to a resident in Dime Box. She advised the officers that someone had stolen her computer. The information was taken and a report was made. Investigation continues on this case at this time.

Deputy Jirasek met with a complainant at the Sheriff’s Office. She reported that someone used her credit card without her permission.

Complainants entered the lobby and asked to speak to a Deputy. All three complainants requested to file a report on a subject that was harassing them by texting them and refused to stop after being told. A report was taken and charges are pending at this time.

May 25, 2013

The Sheriff’s Office received a burglary alarm at a business on FM 141. Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover responded and advised some men were doing some repair work on the building and all was ok.

Several callers reported that their mailboxes had been damaged on CR 231. So far, seven damaged mailboxes have been reported. Deputies will be closely patrolling the area on all shifts.

May 26, 2013

Deputy Ray and Deputy Grover did a walk through at the Serbin Picnic. There were lots of adults and children having a great time.

A caller reported that her mom was banging on her door and she was afraid of her because of ongoing family problems. Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres spoke to both parties and they were separated for the night.
