Lee County Extension Education Association Will Host Senior Sock Hop

The Lee County Extension Education Association will host a Senior Sock Hop on Sunday, June 23, from 3 pm to 6 pm, at the Lexington American Legion Hall. Admission is $3 per person or $5 per couple. No RSVP is required; admission is paid at the door. The event is geared towards the Senior-age crowd, though all adults are welcome.

Guests will enjoy dancing “to the music of the 50’s”, games, refreshments, door prizes and more.

Texas Extension Education Association Inc. works with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to strengthen and enrich families through educational programs, leadership development and community service.

Lee County Extension Agent Tonya Poncik said, “Visitors and new members are always welcome. “Our Senior Socials are organized with the idea of providing local Seniors the opportunity of a low cost, ‘close-to-home’ event in a relaxed atmosphere. It is our hope that all Seniors feel welcomed to attend,” Poncik continued.
