Giddings Library News Corner
The Giddings Public Library is very fortunate to have CTL books on loan to our library. These books are offered to our patrons for their enjoyment of reading. These books are in large print which makes it easier to read for our patrons.
Man Hunt by Tim McGuire is a western about a wanted man who for the past six years has been running from the law. He stops running and turns himself in. The law, instead of a trial, has something else in mind for him. Outlaw Pass by Charles G. West (another western) introduces Adam Blaine. He was always content to stay on his family’s cattle ranch on the Yellowstone, but his brother, Jake, could never resist the open road or the prospect of gold. Adam sets out to look for Jake, but instead winds up in a case of mistaken identity as a “vigilante” on the run.
Venetia by Georgette Heyer is about Venetia and the affair she has with the rakish Lord Damerel again and again. Laughter in the Rain by Debbie Macomber is about Abby Carpenter and her involvement with the predictable, practical Logan Fletcher for years. One day she meets the very exciting Tate Harding. Does an everyday guy like Logan have a chance against a handsome stranger like Tate?
Red Snow by Wayne D. Overholser is a compelling story about Rick Proctor. He wasn’t a killer, but his father was. Old Jay Proctor was out to kill a man who had once been his friend and the father of the girl Rick planned to marry.
We have many other good western books, so come in and check them out. These are a few of the many CTL books that we have on loan: Range Feud by Ray Hogan; Big Sky Mountain by Linda Leal Miller; The Cougar’s Prey by Larry D. Sweazy and City of Bad Men by Ralph Cotton.
