The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M. The Opry is brought to you by the Fayette County Country Music Club, which is dedicated to the promotion of good country music. Entertainers are:

WELDON VON MINDEN is a native of La Grange and started his love for country music at the age of nine when he acquired his first musical instrument. He played his first dance when he was 13 and joined the Village Boys band at the age of 15. During the 1950’s, 1960’s and into the 1970’s, he played rhythm and lead guitar and sang at dance halls, country fairs and private events all across Central Texas as a member of the popular band called the Hi Notes. He is still devoted to country music and helps other bands.

DINK & BARNEY are locals with Dink living in Plum and Barney in Rosanky. For many who grew up listening to Rock and Roll and the Rhythm and Blues, they bring back fond memories of endless summer nights, from Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding to Mark Rice, Percy Sledge, along with songs they have written, Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues. Music of the 60’s is rare music that makes you want to dance. They are part of a band called Barney Sledge and the Sledgehammers and will relive some of the best years in music history with a little Rock mashed together with the Blues! It is the rare rock down in your soul kind of music. Old lost music is still the best, and our performers bring only the best.

TERRYLYNE MOORE has been singing and entertaining for a lot of years. Terry Lyne Moore loves to sing and does so every chance she gets!! Her history goes back to her first time on stage in high school when she performed “Hey Big Spender” as her talent in the school beauty pageant. Since then Terry Lyne has performed all over the country. She has opened for Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless, and countless others while in Arkansas. While living in Florida, Terry Lyne had the honor of opening for BJ Thomas, her all time favorite artist, twice!!! Currently she lives in Bastrop, Texas and is a member of the group “Hwy South”. She sings at country music oprys and shows, entertains at festivals, banquets and churches whenever she can. Terry Lyne has two cd’s available. Because of His Grace is a mix of bluegrass gospel favorites. Patsy Remembered is a collection of songs made famous by the one and only Patsy Cline.

Be sure to attend on Monday, May 20, for another great night of entertainment.
