Lee County Youth Center Summer Program

The Lee County Youth Center is open this summer for students in Lee County that have completed third grade thru High School. The LCYC offers a fun, engaging and safe place for youth to come and enjoy afternoons with friends. Summer hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons beginning on Tuesday, June 18th. We will open at 12:30 and close at 5:30. The fee for one student for the month is $30, two students is $45 and three or more in the same family are only $55. This fee includes a fruit snack daily and students may purchase other snacks for .50 or $1.00 if they wish to do so each day. Free Lunch is served next door at the Giddings Elementary School and we encourage our participants to go over to GES first and eat a nutritious and free lunch before coming to the center.

LCYC is proud to have several High School students working as “leaders” for our summer program this year. Coach Marcus Escalante is returning as our Summer Director and Bobby Martin will be assisting him and hosting several evenings with High School students in the gym and activity center. We will also offer several scheduled CAMPS on Monday and Friday afternoons and students may attend these special events for an additional fee if they wish. We will send home the CAMP schedule with registered participants. Our T/W/Th afternoons include activities in the gym and outdoors, arts and crafts, music, theater arts, as well as this year’s MUMMY CAMP hosted by volunteer, Meredith Franks! There are so many fun things to do at LCYC.
