Lexington’s Homecoming Festival this Weekend
Lexington’s Square will be teeming with people this weekend, as the 48th Annual Lexington Homecoming will be held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Including with this year’s event, will be the Lee County Go Texan BBQ competition, which is being held again in conjunction with the Homecoming Cook-Off.
In addition, the Lee County Texas Stars 4-H has teamed up with Diamond Cross Rodeo Company to bring an exciting CPRA rodeo to the Lexington Homecoming event lineup. The rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday nights, and will feature bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, calf roping, team roping, mutton bustin, and more.
The traditional Community Gospel Singing, sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance, will be held Thursday night at First Baptist Church. Street dances will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
The Square will feature plenty of activities for children, including the Homecoming Parade Saturday morning at 10:30. There will be lots of food for everyone and vendors will line the east and south sides of the Square, selling everything from jewelry to clothing to plants and more.
