Mobile Mammograms in Giddings

Stephanie Boden - Mammography Technician Stephanie Boden - Mammography Technician Recently, the Seton Cancer Screening team came to Lee County Area Cancer Resource Center in Giddings to provide free mammograms to uninsured, low income women. A total of 34 local women were able to receive mammograms, clinical breast exams and breast health education as a result of generous grant funding provided for Lee County by the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Seton Cancer Screening team brought the new customized motor coach entitled, The Big Pink Bus. The new bus is state of the art with digital mammography, exam room, changing area, and a waiting room. Each year the Seton team of nine women travel to serve over 1,800 women in six counties who are unable to afford mammograms. Additional women in need of a mammogram can call 512-324-3375 for an appointment in a nearby town.
