Water Public Hearing Rescheduled

Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District has rescheduled the Public Hearing on Applications of End Op, L.P. for operating permits and transfer permits for 14 wells to be located in Bastrop and Lee Counties from Wednesday night at Giddings City Hall to Thursday night, at 6 p.m., at the American Legion Hall in Giddings. End Op is seeking to withdraw 56,000 acre feet of water/ year from the Simsboro Aquifer to be used for public water supply in Travis and Williamson Counties.

They will still meet in regular session at 7 p.m. at Giddings City Hall on Wednesday, where they are expected to act on applications of Forestar Real Estate Group, Inc. for operating permits and transfer permits for 10 wells in Lee County, seeking authorization to withdraw 45,000 acre feet of water/year; five wells for LCRA to withdraw 10,000 acre feet of water/year; and two wells for Manville Water Supply to withdraw 3,226 acre feet of water/year.
