Sheriff’s Report

April 1, 2013

A motorist reported a male wearing red shorts and a white tshirt walking down FM 141 attempting to flag vehicles down. Deputy Rudolph located the subject and gave him a courtesy ride home.

Deputy Rudolph was dispatched to FM 180 near FM 1697 after several motorists reported cows out on the roadway.

Chief Deputy Lapham spoke to a complainant who wanted to report a theft. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

A caller reported that there were 3 or 4 vehicles parked on CR 410 and some young boys were physically fighting. Deputy Ayres, Deputy Carvin and Deputy Jirasek responded to the call. Lexington EMS was dispatched to the scene. Citations were issued for disorderly conduct.

A motorist reported two young males who were standing next to a truck on CR 114. Deputy Ledenbach located the subjects who advised their truck broke down and that they were trying to get someone to help them get it back to their house.

Fayette County called and requested assistance in locating a vehicle at a residence on CR 135. Some females stole some items from booths at Round Top. Deputy Ledenbach located the vehicle and spoke with the driver of the vehicle. Fayette County advised they would be getting warrants for the subjects.

April 2, 2013

A motorist reported a silver Dodge 1500 truck on CR 326 driving all over the roadway. The truck ran off the road and hit a mailbox. The caller was able to get the license plate number. Deputy Ray searched the area but did not locate the truck or any mailboxes that were down.

Deputy Ledenbach was dispatched to a residence on FM 2440 after a caller reported seeing a male subject walking towards her house. The area was searched but no one was located on the property.

A resident on FM 1624 in Lexington reported that she heard a loud noise and her electricity went out. She advised that her dogs were barking and she requested someone check out her property. Deputy Ray and Deputy Ledenbach searched her property and everything was ok.

April 3, 2013

A caller reported three young adults walking in the outside south bound lane of traffic on Hwy 77 just north of Lexington. Deputy Ayres located the subjects and gave them a courtesy ride home.

Deputy Allen put up some cows that were out on CR 213. He was able to get them back into a pasture.

April 4, 2013

The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 hang up call from a residence on FM 1624. Deputy Allen went to the residence to make sure everything was ok. They had a bad phone line.

A motorist reported an abandoned truck on Hwy 21 in Old Dime Box. Deputy Crockett located the truck that was well off the roadway and not a hazard.

A complainant spoke to Deputy Crockett in reference to receiving harassing phone calls. No report was made at that time.

Deputy Ayres met with a complainant on PR 4402 in Lincoln after he reported that someone had cut the lock off his gate and replaced it with another lock. Two reports were filed. One report was for criminal mischief and one for burglary of a habitation.

April 5, 2013

Deputy Rudolph responded to an accident on Hwy 77 near CR 220. An 18-wheeler struck a cow that was on the roadway.

A caller reported that a truck hauling a large mobile home was going through the construction site and knocking down the traffic cones. Deputy Jirasek made contact with the complainant and the company that owns the hauler. The company advised they would take care of the matter.

A motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 West headed eastbound. Deputy Jirasek located the vehicle and spoke to the driver and warned him about his driving.

Several callers reported cows out on CR 114 near PR 1143. Deputy Jirasek spoke to the property owner and advised him to repair his fence.

A resident reported that a white SUV was partially blocking her driveway on FM 448. Deputy Ledenbach contacted the owner of the vehicle who moved it so that it would not block the driveway. They said they would pick it up in the morning.

Deputy Ray was dispatched to a residence off CR 127 to speak to a complainant. The complainant stated that she had an argument with her husband and it had escalated to the point that he pointed a gun at her. A report was made and charges will be filed.

April 6, 2013

Deputy Ayres met a complainant on FM 448 @ FM 2239. He reported that someone ran through his fence, but he did not need an accident report. He just wanted it documented.

A complainant reported that there was a Budget Rental truck parked near her residence on CR 436. Deputy Jirasek arrived on the scene but advised the vehicle had left already.

Deputy Jirasek met with a complainant on FM 141 in Dime Box. He reported that an individual made a death threat towards him and he wanted to file charges. A report was taken and charges are pending at this time.
