Modena A. Ramsel
Mrs. Ramsel passed away the morning of Friday, April 5, 2013 at her home in Giddings.
Modena A. (Burleson) Ramsel was born on November 7, 1919 in Brady, Texas to Marion M. & Emma (Brown) Burleson. She was united in marriage to Charles Ramsel on June 20, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. Modena was a member of the “Thursday Bridge Club” and enjoyed playing cards and bridge, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Bob Whitesides; two sisters and four brothers.
Modena is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles Ramsel of Giddings; her daughter, Charlotte Whitesides of Giddings; three granddaughters, Barbara & Bill Lindbergh of Lincoln, Debbie & John Neff of Florence and Jennifer & Rick Green of Tyler and five great grandchildren, Amanda & Phillip Lindbergh of Lincoln and Sarah, Bradley and Josh Green of Tyler.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Modena’s caregivers from Visiting Angels, Rena Sullivan, Dana Wright, Calisha Spencer, Lillie House, Amy Cooley and Gloria Whitfield.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or the charity of one’s choice.
