Leslie Delbert Pietsch

December14,1942-April4,2013

Funeral services for Leslie Pietsch, 70 of Brenham and formerly of Ledbetter,were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Lillian A. Wilder Memorial Chapel at the Brenham State Supported Living Center in Brenham with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Waldeck Cemetery.

Leslie passed into the loving arms of Jesus the evening of Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Brenham State Supported Living Center.

Leslie Delbert Pietsch was born on December 14, 1942 in La Grange, Texas to Willie & Lorene (Ahlhorn) Pietsch. He was baptized on December 27, 1942 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Greens Creek by Rev. Paul Eifert and confirmed on April 28, 1957 at Bethany Lutheran Church by Rev. John L. Herzog. His confirmation verse was Proverbs 23:26, " My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways". Leslie attended school in Carmine.

The majority of Leslie's life was at the Brenham State Supported Living Center where he was fondly known as "Peaches". Leslie enjoyed his job at Blue Bell Creameries and Brenham Production Services and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Weldon Markert, Sidney Grebe and Wesley Ott.

Surviving Leslie are his sisters, Della Markert of Ledbetter and Beatrice Ott of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence & Jeanet Pietsch of Houston; brother Gilbert Pietsch of Houston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Brenham State Supported Living Center Volunteer Services Council, 4001 Hwy 36 South, Brenham, Texas 77833.
