Gregory Willrich, Sr. holds a large bowl full of golfball sized hail that he gathered outside his front door last Wednesday morning.
Lexington’s United Methodist Church also had several stained glass panes broken in their sanctuary and fellowship hall.
Kevin and Carol Mahr’s house lost its roof in the storm, that apparently included tornadic winds with the hail!
This is the view standing in the front yard of the Mahr’s place. That’s their roof, in dozens of pieces, littering the yard. Not seen in this picture, but laying to the right of this debris, is the ceiling fan that was in their living room.
The hail broke several stained glass windows in the sanctuary of St. James Lutheran Church. In this picture you can see where the force of the break was so strong, it sent glass shards across the room on top of the altar. PHOTO BY REV. LEIF HASSKARL.
More busted panes at St. James Lutheran (above) and United Methodist (below).
Crossing FM 112 in front of the Mahr’s house finds a portion of their roof - in a tree! - in the far left portion of Jack Grave’s front yard!
