Lt. Cmdr. Jason Smith, a 1990 graduate of Lexington High School, will be attending Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts this summer to work on his second Master’s Degree. Jason’s military career began with the ROTC program at Sam Houston University. He was commissioned at graduation as an officer in the US Army. He flew the Apache Helicopters and, after tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, he transitioned to the US Coast Guard, where he flew the Dolphin Helicopter. He and his crew received one of the highest awards given for a rescue in the Bering Sea. Jason is seen with his wife, Julie Wolf Smith, and their three children, Reagan, Zane, and Walker. He is the son of Chester and Terry Smith of Tanglewood. Lt. Cmdr.
