Sheriff’s Report

March 4, 2013

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a complainant on CR C, advising that they had an argument with their new neighbor and he pulled a gun out on them. Someone was in the background yelling at the caller. The complainant then stated that the neighbor had put the gun away and was walking back towards his residence. Sheriff Meyer and Deputy Ledenbach met with the complainant and took a report.

Deputy Ray was dispatched to FM 180 near CR 125 in Ledbetter after a motorist reported cows out on the roadway.

March 5, 2013

Deputy Ayres, Deputy Carvin and Deputy Jirasek responded to a disturbance on CR 121 in Dime Box. The caller stated that she was assaulted by her husband and had just returned home from the emergency room. Her husband was at the residence and had threatened to burn the house down. The husband was arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.

March 6, 2013

A motorist reported that a truck pulling a trailer was stalled on the inside lane of traffic on Hwy 77 approx ½ mile south of Giddings. Deputy Ayres located the vehicle and spoke to the driver. He stated that he had help on the way.

Chief Deputy Lapham, Deputy Ayres and Deputy Carvin responded to a theft call in Dime Box. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

A resident on CR 333 in Lexington reported to Deputy Crockett that someone cut her fence and was trespassing on her property.

Deputy Ayres responded to a structure fire on FM 1624. Lexington and Fedor Fire Departments responded to the call.

Deputy Ledenbach assisted with a civil stand by on CR 118. A caller requested a stand by while her neighbor retrieved their horses off of her property.

A motorist reported approx 8-10 cows out on CR 114 near Hwy 77. Deputy Allen was able to run them off the roadway.

A complainant reported that she had received a call from her daughter stating that her husband was at her residence fighting with her again. Deputy Ray, Deputy Allen and Deputy Ledenbach responded, and the husband was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

March 7, 2013

Deputy Ray responded to a business alarm on Hwy 290 West. The perimeter of the building was secure and the owner was notified.

A caller reported that there was a vehicle parked on their property on Hwy 77 in Lexington. Deputy Crockett was dispatched to check out the vehicle and the caller advised that they figured out who the vehicle belonged to and all was ok.

Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Ayres met with Dime Box ISD and took a theft report.

A complainant requested that someone do a welfare check on a subject that lives on PR 7039 in the Fedor Estates. She reported that she had not heard from her, and their last conversation was regarding how she was not feeling well. Deputy Crockett went to the residence and reported that the woman was fine.

Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Ayres escorted a male subject to his residence on CR 121 to get his belongings.

Deputy Crockett spoke to a complainant at the Sheriff’s Office who reported that someone stole the radiator out of one of her dump trucks. A theft report was taken.

A resident reported a black Ford truck with paper tags driving up and down CR 114 near CR 135 and pulling up into peoples’ driveways. Deputy Allen was dispatched and searched for the truck that was last seen heading towards Hwy 21.

March 8, 2013

Deputy Rudolph assisted with traffic control at the scene of a one vehicle accident on Hwy 77 North approx 1 mile south of Lexington. One subject was transported to the hospital.

A caller reported that her uncle was trying to kick her mother out of a trailer that she was renting from them. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Jirasek responded to the scene. The matter was civil and the complainant was advised to contact Justice of the Peace.

Chief Deputy Lapham and Deputy Liles spoke to a complainant on CR 224. She reported that she was being harassed and wanted to file a report.

Deputy Carvin and Deputy Jirasek were dispatched to an inquest on Scenic View Dr. in Lexington. A report was made.

A complainant reported that her husband hit her at their residence on FM 141. Deputy Ray and Deputy Ledenbach responded to the call. One female subject was arrested and booked and charged with assault/family violence.

March 9, 2013

Deputy Liles responded to a two vehicle accident on Hwy 21 @ CR 430 in Dime Box. He assisted with traffic control while DPS worked the accident scene.

A motorist reported a large bull out on CR 217 @ CR 216. Deputy Jirasek was able to run the bull off the roadway.

A subject came to the Sheriff’s Office wanting to file a report because someone stole his cell phone. Deputy Jirasek took the report.

Deputy Liles was dispatched to FM 141 near CR 119 in Dime Box after a caller reported that a white Ford truck drove by and shot at the road sign. The truck was last seen headed northbound towards Dime Box. Investigation continues at this time.

Deputy Ray and Deputy Ledenbach responded to a domestic disturbance at Town & Country Mobile Home Park. The complainant requested that her adult son be removed from the residence because he broke one of the doors. Subject left the residence without incident.

March 10, 2013

A complainant reported that her son was at a party on Hwy 77 near CR 330. Her husband was parked at the gate entrance, but requested a deputy go with him because there were a lot of people out there. Chief Deputy Lapham assisted with the call.

Deputy Liles was dispatched to FM 696 E near CR 408 to remove some Llamas that were out on the roadway.

Deputy Carvin and Deputy Jirasek checked on a business alarm on Hwy 290 West. The building was found secure.
