LISD School Board Elections May Produce Sparks

Incumbents Un-Challenged in City Election

The Lexington ISD School Board Elections may produce some sparks this spring as five people vie for two positions, while the three incumbent Lexington City Council members whose terms expire this year are unchallenged in their quest for re-election.

The School Board Election will look to fill the expiring terms of Russell Iselt and Alan Turner. Turner is not seeking his seat again, but Iselt is running for reelection. He will be on the ballot with Michael Hess, Riza Cooper, Sylvia LaFuente Vera Olson, and Chad Garrett.

Filing to keep their seats on City Council are Tim Brown, Opal Lewis and Greg Langehennig.

This year’s elections will be held on Saturday, May 11.
