Lexington EMS Fundraiser
The Lexington EMS will host their Annual Fundraiser this Friday night at the Lexington Elementary School Cafetorium. The show begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are available in advance from any Lexington EMS member.
As in years past, the Plummer Family Country Music Show will be the featured entertainers.
For many years Branson, Missouri has been the home of the Plummer Family Country Music Show.
The Plummer Family Show was once one of the first and best shows in Branson, Missouri. Darrell & Rosie, along with their son Randy, and daughter Melody, opened their theatre in May 1973 and performed for 18 years.
Darrell & Rosie have been acknowledged in many ways for their exceptional talent as country music performers. Rosie was presented the first prestigious “Show Biz Award” in 1984 at the Ozark Music Awards. Both Darrell & Rosie have been inducted into the “Ozark Hall of Fame”.
Darrell Plummer is the master of ceremonies. Darrell is known for the traditional country & gospel songs that he sings, as well as duets with his wife Rosie.
Rosie Plummer shines every time she appears on stage. Rosie plays piano and accordion. She’ll get your feet tapping with a polka! Rosie also sings lead and harmonizes with the group.
Melody Driskill, Darrell and Rosie’s daughter, is one of the founding members of the Plummer Family Show. Primarily known for her beautiful voice and fiddle playing, she is a multi-talented instrumentalist.
Dale Driskill is always quick with a great song or story. The duets he performs with Melody, as well as with his son, Josh, are always a highlight.
Josh Driskill is the grandson of Darrell and Rosie. You will enjoy his renditions of many great country music songs.
“Nearly Famous” (aka Tony Hampton) will put a smile on your face with his wit, comical stories and zany songs. He is also the band’s bass guitarist.
So be sure and plan to attend this year’s big event. It’s always family friendly and promises to be a night of fun and laughter.
