Memorial services for Alena Susie Taylor Woelfel were held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Tanglewood Baptist Church. Alena was cremated.
Alena Susie Taylor Woelfel was born March 28, 1957 in Cameron to William Jefferson and Loree (Pricer) Taylor.
Alena worked as a Paramedic with Washington County. In 1988 she worked as a dispatcher for Williamson County, then worked as Paramedic/Dispatcher for Austin Travis County EMS until 2008.
She and Ronnie Woelfel were married on October 3, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church and the Lexington Eastern Star. She enjoyed hunting, teaching her grandchildren how to fish, had a love for animals and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was very dedicated to watching out for and caring for the needs of her neighbors.
Alena passed away Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013 near Tanglewood following an accident. She reached the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her husband, Ronnie Woelfel of Tanglewood; four daughters, Brandy Callaway of Tanglewood, Felicia Govan and husband Michael of Lexington, Heather Wright and husband Nathan of San Clemente, California and Haley Woelfel of Ledbetter; son, Kevin Woelfel and wife Amanda of Giddings; four grandchildren, Cameron Callaway and Tyler Callaway of Elgin, Emily Wright and Clarissa Wright of San Clemente, California; two sisters, Jeannie Betchan and husband Wayne of Rockdale, Diane Simpson and husband Roy of Tanglewood; also numerous nieces and nephews.
