Jarrell Stops Eagles 50-42
The Lexington Eagles had the Jarrell Cougars, but could not pull the noose tight. Jarrell rallied and won the game with a good finish. Lexington pulled into a tie at 40 on Kogan Garrett’s three point shot. Lexington could only manage a deuce by Jason Washington the rest of the game. Jarrell, on the other hand, doubled up the Eagles in the fourth quarter.
The driving lay up attempts that worked so well for Zach Lay at Rosebud, did not fall this night. The Cougar defense focused on stopping Washington, which did not work. Eriq Mitchell’s long looping three point shots, did not find the bottom of the basket.
Washington led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points. Lay was next with 10. Those were the only Eagles in double figures.
