Gidding Library News Corner

by Judy Belyeu

The Giddings Public Library has a variety of books to offer our patrons. Some of our patrons prefer western books. The Ranger by Ace Atkins is the first of a remarkable new series about a real hero and the real Deep South. Army Ranger Quinn Colson investigates his uncle’s alleged suicide and uncovers shocking personal secrets. The Lost Ones by Ace Atkins is a continuation in the saga of newly-elected Tibbehah County Sheriff Quinn Colson. He is investigating an old friend’s gun sales when stolen military rifles are found in the possession of a Mexican drug gang, a case that is complicated by his discovery of a black market adoption ring.

Savage Texas: A Good Day To Die by by William W. Johnstone and J. A. Johnstone takes place in Hangtree, Texas. Yankee Sam Heller and Texas Johnny Cross, who can’t stand the sight of each other, must put their differences aside to save the town of Hangtree, Texas from a Comanche named Red Hand and his band of blood-thirsty warriors. Come by the Library for more like these!
