Ruby R. Baack

Funeral services for Ruby R. Baack, 84, of Abilene, formerly of Giddings, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Rev. Jeremy Walloch officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Ruby R. Baack passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Oaks of Redford Hills in Abilene, Texas. Ruby was born on July 28, 1928 in Caldwell, Texas to Adolph and Annie (Hosea) Kipp. She was baptized and confirmed in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Giddings. She was united in marriage to Norman F. Baack on May 27, 1947 in Houston. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. Ruby was preceded in death by parents, Adolph & Annie Kipp; her husband, Norman Baack and a sister, Joyce Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra and husband, Ed Allred of Abilene; her son, Roger Baack and wife, Rita of Houston and her daughter-in-love, Anne Gibson Terry. Ruby is also survived by five grandchildren, Kimberly Dearing and husband, Christopher of Houston, Steven Allred and wife, Mihaella of Abilene, Tiffany Nabors and husband, Evan of Magnolia, Brandi and Borey and husband, Elliot of Buda and Laura Blackmon and husband, Shane of Houston. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Carson, Tanner and Brady Dearing of Houston, Alex Allred of Abilene, Taylor, Jonathan and Lynsey Nabors of Magnolia, Addison Borey of Buda and Autumn Blackmon of Houston. Also surviving are her brother, Billy Kipp of Houston and sister Janet Foehr of Manor, as well as several nieces and nephews.
