Eagles Ease by Cameron 42-35

by Mike Organ

Lexington visited the Cameron Yoe Tuesday night. On December 28th the Eagles had topped Cameron 75-60 with ease, as the Eagles had a fantastic shooting game. Last Tuesday was just the opposite. The Eagles had to overcome a woeful offensive performance to defeat the Yoe 42- 35. This game was much closer than the score indicates. Lexington was behind in the fourth quarter before pulling out a victory.

In the December game, the three-point shots fell almost every time the Eagles shot. Tuesday, just three of 14 three-point attempts passed through the basket. Only 11 of 33 two-point shots were good. The Eagles had to play tight, tough defense to pull this game out. The Eagles’ quickness and anticipation allowed them to steal the ball nine times. Most of those steals were turned into scores by the Eagles.

Jason Washington and London Jacob led the scoring for Lexington. Washington had 17 points and Jacob 12, as the Eagles employed only five players the entire game. Jacob had eight rebounds and Washington had five assists to teammates.
