Brazos Valley CEU Conference Scheduled for January 25

The 2013 Brazos Valley CEU Conference will be conducted on Friday, January 25, at the Burleson County Fairgrounds in Caldwell. TDA certified, licensed, commercial and non-commercial applicators can obtain up to five CEU’s (1 L&R, 2 IPM and 2 General) in one day. Cost is $35 per person if pre-registered by January 18; otherwise, it will be $45 at the door. To preregister, contact Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Lee County at 979- 542-2753. A catered lunch will be served.

Presenters and topics will be: Dr. Mark McFarland, Extension Soil Fertility Specialist, Optimizing Fertility for Forage Production; Dr. Larry Redmon, Extension Specialist, Beef Cattle Management and Water Quality; Dr. James Cathey, Extension Program Leader, Feral Hogs in Texas; Dr. Don Renchie, Extension Program Specialist, Laws & Regulations Pertaining to Pasture Management and Forage Production; and, David Stichler & Rob Brooks, Weed Control Products.

This program is open to anyone wanting to attend. Individuals needing specific assistance in order to participate must contact Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Lee County 979-542-2753 at least five days prior to the event so that arrangements can be made.
