Eagles Round Up the Florence Buffaloes 50-39
After playing an energetic game Thursday, the Eagles played a rather lethargic game Saturday afternoon when they defeated Florence 50-39. Lexington was ahead 24-9 at halftime. Lexington continued to lead 41-25 at the end of the third quarter. Jason Washington and Eriq Mitchell both scored 18 points to lead the Eagles to victory.
Lexington is now 2-1 in district play. Their next game will be Tuesday night in Cameron (after press time). The Eagles beat Cameron significantly in the Cameron Tourney The Yoe had not had a formal practice since winning the state championship in football on December 20th.
