Deputy Ray was dispatched to FM 2440 after a motorist reported cows out on the roadway. The cows were located and were cleared off the road.
A complainant requested to speak to a deputy regarding a reoccurring incident. Deputy Ayres met with the caller on CR 232 and she advised him of her situation.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a foster parent reporting that she was having problems with her juvenile child. Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres responded to the scene. The matter was settled and everything was ok.
Deputy Skinner met with a complainant on CR 405. She reported that her grand-daughter and her boyfriend entered her home and moved all their property out of their room and caused damage. A report was taken.
January 1, 2013
A caller reported that a vehicle had pulled into his driveway on FM 1624 and set off a bunch of fireworks. Deputy Rudolph took the call and made a report.
A motorist reported a man attempting to flag people down on Hwy 21 in Dime Box. Deputy Liles located the subject who had run out of gas and gave him a courtesy ride.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ayres received information on a welfare check from Austin Police Dept. The subject was located and was fine.
A resident on CR C in Lexington called and complained that the neighbors were shooting guns and getting reckless. Deputy Skinner was dispatched to the scene. He spoke to all parties involved.
January 2, 2013
Deputy Rudolph and Deputy Liles spoke to a complainant who reported that he was punched in the face. He did not want to file charges at this time. He does know who assaulted him and will get back with deputies if he changes his mind.
A caller reported that people were screaming at each other on Willow Creek Drive in Lexington. Deputy Liles and Deputy Rudolph responded and both subjects were ok. It was just a verbal discussion and they were both calm upon arrival.
January 3, 2013
Deputy Ledenbach responded to a medical call on FM 180. B&M Ambulance requested assistance.
A county commissioner reported to Deputy Ledenbach that someone had vandalized his equipment. A report was taken and investigation continues at this time.
Deputy Crockett assisted DPS at the scene of a one vehicle accident on FM 1624 near CR 322 in Lexington.
January 4, 2013
A complainant reported that someone had cut his fence at his place on CR 205. Deputy York met with the land owner and Key Energy was notified.
Deputy Allen was dispatched to check on a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 290 West. The vehicle had left prior to arrival. A vehicle description was given to deputies and the area was searched on all shifts.
A motorist reported several cows out on FM 448 near CR 217. Deputy Allen responded and cleared the cattle from the road.
A caller reported a cloudy substance coming out of the ground on FM 2239. Deputy Allen checked on the situation and made contact with the water department. They advised that they were flushing out a line and that everything was ok.
Deputy Skinner did another welfare check on a subject that lives in Lexington. Everyone was ok and the information was passed on to the concerned party.
Deputy Rudolph was dispatched to check on a suspicious vehicle on CR 208. A caller reported that it was parked by someone’s gate. The vehicle was located and found to be secured and had a flat front tire.
January 5, 2013
Deputy Ayres met with complainants at the Sheriff’s Office. The matter involved child custody and the problems they were having.
A caller reported that she has cows in her pasture on CR 308 in Lexington and she has no idea who they belong to. Deputy Skinner is searching for the owner.
Several motorists reported that a white truck was parked in the roadway on Hwy 21. Deputy Skinner located the vehicle and helped the owner move it off the roadway.
Washington County reported that a vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 290 East. Deputy Ray and Deputy Skinner got the vehicle stopped outside the city limits. Trooper Thorp arrested the driver.
January 6, 2013
Deputy Ayres responded to a one vehicle rollover on FM 141 near CR 116. Caller reported that no one was in or near the vehicle. Trooper Weiser took the crash report. While on scene, a hospital called and advised the driver was in their emergency room being treated for injuries.
A complainant reported that someone had stolen the wire off a well sight on CR 205. Deputy Allen took the theft report. Investigation continues at this time.
Deputy Ayres was dispatched to a residence in Paige after a caller reported a theft. A report was taken.
A complainant entered the Sheriff’s Office and spoke to Deputy Skinner regarding his trailer being stolen. A report was taken and investigation continues at this time.
A caller reported that she was very depressed and she just got out of the hospital and though she needed to go back. The girl’s mother then called and said she was going to get her daughter’s kids because she cut herself. Deputy Skinner responded with B&M Ambulance on CR 232. Subject did not cut herself and was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where MHMR evaluated her and let her go after she signed a promise not to harm herself.
