Lee County Grand Jury Indicts Ten

Ten people, eight from Giddings, were indicted by the Lee County Grand Jury on Thursday, January 3, 2013.

Charles Ernest Herzog, 37 of Paige and Edward Lionel Deen, 38 of Bastrop, were indicted for theft ($20,000-$100,000), engaging in organized criminal activity, enhanced with previous conviction, as well as for burglary of a building, engaging in organized criminal activity, enhanced with previous conviction. Herzog was indicted for a second count of theft ($20,000-$100,000), enhanced with previous conviction.

Matthew Carl Herzog, 28 of Giddings, was also indicted for theft ($20,000-$100,000), engaging in organized criminal activity, and for burglary of a building, engaging in organized criminal activity. He, too, was indicted for a second count of theft ($20,000-$100,000).

Tenola Glynn Lang , 48 of Giddings, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Samuel Lee Perez, 34 of Giddings, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – threat.

Mark Allen McDonald, 54 of Giddings, was indicted for credit card or debit card abuse against the elderly.

Justin Jerell Williams, 18 of Giddings State School, was indicted for harassment of a public servant.

Justin Johnson, 18 of Giddings State School, was indicted for retaliation.

Michael D. Rodriquez, 18 of Giddings State School, was indicted for assault on a public servant.

Daren D. Thomas, 18 of Giddings State School, was indicted for having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
