Lexington Garden Club News

By Nita Levy

The members of Lexington Garden Club enjoyed their annual Christmas Party on December 13. Ruth Marquardt hosted the party at the St. James Lutheran Parish Hall. Co-hostesses, Gloria Brockenbush, Alice and Leonard Kastner, Paulette Schulze, and Nina Seifert served an array of attractive and delicious foods.

The Parish Hall was exceptionally decorated by Gloria and Paulette. A dead cedar tree, 1,700 Christmas lights, and fresh bougainvilleas were the decorations, along with small door prizes given to each member present. The party was enjoyed by all!

Our next meeting will be held on January 10 at Pam Iselt’s home at 2 p.m. Daniel Lewis, from the Texas Forest Service, will give the program on “Desirable Trees to Plant”. Co-Hostesses will be Pat Ahrendt, Ann Chernosky and Jean Davis.
