Pearl Bernice Alexander
Pearl Bernice Alexander was born in Malone, Texas on September 4, 1923 to Gus and Ella (Wolff) Lentz. She was confirmed at the American Lutheran Church in Somerville by Pastor Weber in 1935. Pearl Married John H. Alexander at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Houston on May 24, 1942. Their marriage was blessed with two children; Johnny and Vivian.
As a homemaker, Pearl enjoyed crocheting, Jigsaw puzzles and Bible studies with her family.
Pearl is survived by her son Johnny and Debbie Alexander of Lexington; her daughter Vivian Rowlett of Teague; brother-in-law Al Alexander of Lexington; brother Mickey and Ida Lentz of Conroe, as well as numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; brother Felix Lentz; sister- in-law, Emma Meier Lentz; son-in-law, Larry Rowlett; daughter-in-law, Corine Geisler Alexander; grandson, Larry Voughan and great-grandson, Dayton Lucio.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington, Texas with Rev. Leif Haskarl officiating. Burial followed in the Lexington cemetery.
Pearl died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Ladies Aid or charity of choice.
