City Council Regular Meeting

The Lexington City Council met in a regular meeting on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center, 631 N. Rockdale, Lexington, Texas.

Present were Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr., Councilpersons Opal Lewis, Tim Brown, Greg Langehennig, Charlotte Hooper, Chris Billings and City Attorney Tim Kleinschmidt.

Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. brought the meeting to order and welcomed the guest.

3. There was no citizen input.

4. Opal Lewis made the motion to approve the minutes of November 14th, 2012. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

5. Tim Brown made the motion to pay bills 1 – 46 for the month of November 2012. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to pay bill #47 for the month of November 2012. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 4 for. One abstained. (Greg Langehennig)

6. Greg Langehennig made the motion to approve the permit application and set back lines for Mary Atkins property. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

7. Tim Brown made the motion for City Attorney to check with TML about insurance liability pertaining to possible bar-b-que cook-off in parking lot at the city park and use of alcohol beverages on park property for the cook-off. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

8. Opal Lewis made the motion to give a $100.00 donation at this time toward catching cats. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

9. Tim Brown made the motion to hire police officer. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

10. Greg Langehennig made the motion to approve the financial report. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to approve the budget report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to approve the police report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

11. Tim Brown made the motion to adjourn. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. Adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
