Middle School Basketball Report

The Lexington Lady Eagle Middle School Basketball Team traveled to Salado Monday afternoon, December 3rd to take on the Lady Eagles of Salado. The B teams tipped off first and Salado led from start to finish, holding the Lexington Eagles to a single basket scored in the 2nd period by #33 Dana Gilmore. The Red Eagles of Salado won the contest 13-2.

The 7A team went next with Salado jumping out in front 6-0 by the end of the first period. In the 2nd, Lexington held Salado scoreless while Lexington’s #42 Madison Iselt was able to put up two buckets for 4 points, and the half ended in favor of Salado 6-4. In the 3rd, Lexington’s #15 Kaity Washington put up 4 points and the game was tied at 8, with 48 seconds to go, before Salado added 2 more to end the 3rd in the lead again 10-8. In the 4th period, Salado went on a scoring streak with 7 more points, while Lexington answered with only 4, 2 each by #20 Ma’Kayla Atkins and #34 Keanna Clemons. Salado won the second game of the night 17- 12.
