Lady Eagles 8A Team Fall Behind Quickly Against Salado

Lexington’s Courtney Strain (5) jumps into the center of action, pulling in a passed ball for her 8A Lady Eagles against the young Salado girls. The 8A teams were the final match of the night last Monday, December 3, when the young ladies traveled to Salado. The end result of their games were the same, as the younger Lady Eagles’ games played earlier in the evening. Salado bested the 8A Lady Eagles 23-10.

The first period put Salado in the lead 10-4, with #3 Kynslie Meyer and #22 Magen Walch each scoring 2 for Lexington. In the second, Lexington was held scoreless, while Salado racked up 5 more to make it a half time score of 15-4.

In the 3rd period, Salado added 6 more, while Lexington’s #5 Courtney Strain added the only 2 points of the period for Lexington, to end the 3rd 21-6 Salado. In the 4th period, Strain hit for 2 more and #25 Madison Stefek put in 2 as well, to finish the scoring for Lexington, while Salado added a single bucket and won the game.
