Country Music Monday

The Giddings Rotary Club is excited to present to you a spectacular lineup for the December Country Music Monday Performance on Monday, December 3, 2012. Doors will open at 5:15 with the show starting at 7:30 pm. Admission is $5.00 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Once again, The Giddings Lions Club will be cooking delicious hamburgers for your enjoyment.

This month’s entertainers include Lynn Forbus, Jade Jack, Phil Livengood, Sister Sue, Sally Carlson, Ken Brothers, and the regular Country Music Monday back-up band.

Singer, songwriter Lynn “Cornbread” Forbus is known as one of the best friends a real country song could ever have, and has often been compared in his singing style and sound to such country music great performers as Vern Gosdin and George Jones. He lends a true traditional flare to the country music genre. Jade Jack has achieved the prestigious Will Rogers Award for “Pure Country Female Artist of the Year” from the Academy of Western Artists. Jade comes by her talents quite naturally, following in the footsteps of her mother and aunt, and is quite the accomplished fiddle player in addition to her quality singing talent.

Phil Livengood, a local favorite from Caldwell, Texas will be joining us to share his harmonica playing with the crowd, along with Sister Sue, a singing trio from Bastrop, Tx.

Sally Carlson actually started over 19 years ago with her opening show in Giddings, later adding numerous Country Music Opry venues to her repertoire. Ken Brothers and the regular back-up band will surely entertain us once again with their many musical talents for a well-rounded outstanding performance to close out this wonderful year for Country Music Monday in Giddings.
