Several reports came in this weekend worth mentioning. The first, a hunter reported on Sunday morning finding a bullet hole in his tower blind last weekend and then finding an illegal buck (antler restrictions) on his side of the fence. This was reported off County Road 125 in Dime Box.

The second, a hunter reported on Sunday morning finding an illegal buck (antler restrictions) that died under his feeder. While sitting in his stand on Saturday evening, it sounded as if someone in an adjoining property may have been shooting at the deer while it was running (as indicated by its wounds). This was reported between County Road 223 and County Road 226 in Lexington.

The third, a concerned landowner stated he found fresh blood on his property where it appeared someone shot and retrieved a deer. While he did not mind the adjoining property owner harvesting deer on his own place, he was more concerned about high-powered rifles shooting on 10 acres or less because his kids walk about the property. If you target shoot or hunt, please exercise caution where your rounds fall!
