Three Sentenced in District Court
Three people were sentenced in District Court last week with the Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett presiding.
Brad Antonio Moore, 32 of Austin, a habitual offender, was sentenced to 13 years confinement in the TDCJ and had his original sentence revoked for possession of a controlled substance – cocaine. He was ordered to pay $400 for his court appointed attorney, along with all other costs previously assessed.
Alicia Anne Cason, 24 of Giddings, was sentenced to one year confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center, probated two years, for assault – family violence. She was ordered to pay $1,788 in fines, court costs and fees, and to perform 100 hours of community service restitution.
Derrick Rogelio Esquivel, 23 of LaGrange, was given three years probation for possession of a controlled substance – Methamphetamine, less than 1 gram. He was ordered to pay $588 in court costs and fees, as well as to perform 75 hours of community service restitution. The defendant was ordered to successfully complete the drug offender education program as a condition of his probation.
