There had been reports of a shooting happening at the bar. By the time units got there, all the suspects and victims had left the scene and were reportedly headed to local hospitals due to injuries sustained from gunshots.
After their investigation, BCSO determined that three suspects, Michael Sanders, 34, Kendrick Sanders, 30, and Gary Yarbrough Brooks, 29, had all been shot, and were admitted into area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. CJ’s Icehouse’s Facebook page posted, “CJ’s was hosting our weekly Hip Hop night and black light party. The night was going extremely well for us. The live performances were flawless and everyone was having a good time. Around 11:45 p.m., an altercation began between two people and they were asked to leave. Once outside, the altercation escalated into a fight, at which time the police were called. Two of the individuals involved ran to their cars and got guns and began shooting at each other. Several shots were fired and there were a few injuries. As the police arrived at the scene, all the individuals involved (including the ones injured) fled the parking lot.”
According to the post, the shooters themselves were the only ones shot and their injuries were minor. They remain in the hospital. No charges have been filed at this time.
