Lady Eagles to Playoffs

Lexington‘s Lady Eagle volleyball team assured themselves a spot in the state playoffs with a three-game sweep of Salado Tuesday night. The 25- 20, 25-21, 25-8 whipping of Salado gives the Lady Eagles a two-game lead over the closest competitors with just two games left to play.

The Lady Eagles from both schools played the first two games competitively. Each game was in doubt until late in the contests. The third game was a blowout, as Lexington took off with the momentum, routing Salado on their home court.

The Lexington Freshmen lost in two games 21-25, 22-25.

The Lexington JV lost to Salado 14-25, 24-26

Here are the varsity stats for the game: JohnaAlford- 15 kills, 8 digs, 8 blocks, 1 ace; Madeline Morton- 1 kill, 2 digs; Kristen Boettcher- 1 kill; Madi Bexley- 9 digs, 1 ace; Karsen Ross- 31 assists, 8 digs, 3 blocks, 1 ace; Karley Wren- 9 kills, 8 digs, 2 blocks; Aleece Moerbe- 6 kills, 11 digs, 2 blocks, 2 aces; and Meghann Wrinkle- 1 kill, 11 digs, 2 blocks.
